A patch of green

The program presents the steps and measures taken by Europe for fighting the pollution-related health consequences of city life. The program takes a look at the problems caused by increasing traffic in large cities, and reviews some of the attempts authorities are making to improve the situation. A wide-range, pan-European program aimed at improving urban living environments in the EU is presented. The program discusses the issues of electronic and household electronic waste; of environmental damage caused by car traffic; of the possibilities for better waste management.
