Melodrama about a poet who tries to sell his verses in order to care for his ailing wife. The wife of a poet is seriously ill. When a raven flies inside, the poet writes a poem about it. He then tries to sell his poems to help take care of his sick wife. After being rejected several times, he finally sells his poem. Thrilled, the writer returns to his wife with a basketful of groceries, but he is too late: his wife has died.
